Born and raised in Bacolod, Negros Occidental, Mrs. Ma Lourdes Gamboa Punzalan had a humble beginning rooted in a passion for understanding and helping others. She graduated from the University of St. La Salle in 1986 with a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Psychology. Right after graduation, she began her professional journey as a Guidance Counselor at Holy Family School in Bacolod, where she served from 1986 to 1990. It was during this time that her passion for human behavior and education started to grow deeper.

In pursuit of further knowledge, Mrs. Punzalan moved to UP Diliman to obtain her Masters in Educational Psychology. This equipped her with advanced expertise in understanding people’s needs, which would later shape her career as an HR practitioner.
​
From 1990 to 2003, she worked at Negros Navigation Co. Inc., a pivotal chapter of her life where she held various positions in the Human Resource Department. During these years, she gained valuable experience in handling complex HR functions, fostering her deep understanding of people management and organizational growth.

With over 30 years of experience in Human Resources, Mrs. Punzalan’s drive to create a business that aligned with her expertise in HR became evident. In 2003, she took a leap of faith and decided to start her own company, founded on her deep understanding of human resources and the needs of both businesses and employees.

Her drive was clear: to create a people-first business that could deliver HR services rooted in understanding, empathy, and efficiency. Her vision was to bring her expertise to help businesses grow while creating meaningful employment opportunities for others.
